Oasis Community Center

Next Friday we are having an outreach to the Kisayhip Village in which we minister alongside. As we have communicated in the past, Nigeria is a village mentality. That even though we do minister back to back with a couple of children's homes, majority of our orphan care will be in this village.

We have also noticed that to really provide "Hope for today and Care for tomorrow" for the orphan child we must work within the framework of what is best for the entire village.

This has been a challenge in the way we think and serve. We have been trying different avenues to successfully help the orphan. The Oasis Community Center is one way in which we will try to bring a location of community. We are having an "Open House" next Friday afternoon with the kick off of the World Cup. Our entire staff (which is getting bigger!!) will be participating in bringing food, a band, some face painting and a jumping castle for the entire village. I look forward to it as I think it might be a bit chaotic but I also think there will be lots of positive energy as the Community Center is introduced and those who will be heading it up and prayers offered and testimonies given. I am excited to see again how God takes what we can give and multiplies it to what He can truly offer.

Okay, the last picture is of Peyton. My kids absolutely love her and she celebrated her one year birthday.
